Thanks for checking out Frame of Reference. I’m Niki and I look forward to showing you around the place!
This blog is a place where you can find helpful information for the kitchen, home, your spiritual life, and being internationally domestic; information that inspires you to do life more efficiently, naturally, and purposefully. New posts come 2-3 times each week.
Frame of Reference: a set of ideas, conditions or assumptions that determine how something will be approached, perceived or understood.
My Frame of Reference (FoR)? A twenty-something wife, kitchenista, and follower of Jesus working with Cru in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I talk with university students about faith, and love to blog and bake on the side.
I love trying new recipes, finding healthy alternatives, and looking for ways to make well-balanced meals so I can excuse the chocolates and sweets I eat on a daily basis.
In June 2011, I graduated from Ohio University and married my best friend six days later. Jordan is the greatest representation of Christ’s love I have ever known. He is undoubtedly my better half, and unquestionably the better blogger, (The Point of Impact).
My hobbies include handwriting/typography, traveling, reading, all things coffee, trying out new restaurants, bakeries, and cafes, working out (so that I can eat sweets), being outside, hosting parties, being surprised and celebrating my birthday (and everyone else’s for that matter). It’s fun to make a big deal of people.
Cooking and baking have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, my family was buying me cookbooks and kitchen supplies, which allowed me to put my chef jacket to use. Yes, I have a chef jacket that I bought from Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant in Orlando Florida in second grade. And yes, it still fits.
